American actress Courtney Thorne Smith (born November 8 in 1967). She is most famous for her roles on Melrose Place, Alison Parker on Melrose Place, Georgia Thomas on Ally McBeal, Cheryl in According to Jim and her regular role in Two and a Half Men as Lyndsey McElroy. Thorne-Smith was born in San Francisco, California, and grew up in Menlo Park, a suburb south of San Francisco. Walter Smith was her father. Lora Thorne was her mom , as well as a Therapist. Courtney at seven years old, divorced her father Walter Smith. She lived with both parents in different periods of time. She has a younger sister named Jennifer, who is an executive in the field of advertising. She attended the Menlo-Atherton high school located in Atherton, California and graduated Tamalpais High School in Mill Valley in 1985. When she was in high school, she was a member with Ensemble Theater Company of Mill Valley. Thorne Smith made her debut film appearance in the feature film drama Lucas along with Winona Ryder Corey Haim, and Charlie Sheen. She was also involved in a number of movies in the latter half of the 1980s, including Welcome to 18 (1986), Revenge of the Nerds II: Nerds in Paradise (1987), Summer School (1987) and Side Out (1990). In 1998, she was an actor in the box office film Chairman Of The Board, which was a flop alongside Carrot Top. In 2009, she starred in Sorority Wars. Thorne Smith has dated Andrew Shue in the 1990s. He was her screen mate from Melrose Place. In June 2000, she married Andrew Conrad, a geneticist. The couple broke up in January 2001. Roger Fishman (president of Zizo Group, marketing company) and author of What I Know was her wedding date. When she was 40 she gave birth on the morning of January 11 on the 11th of January, 2008, to Jacob Emerson Fishman.
