American actress Courtney Thorne Smith (born November 8 in 1967). She is most famous for her roles on Melrose Place, Alison Parker on Melrose Place, Georgia Thomas on Ally McBeal, Cheryl in According to Jim and her regular role in Two and a Half Men as Lyndsey McElroy. Thorne-Smith was born in San Francisco, California, and grew up in Menlo Park, a suburb south of San Francisco. Walter Smith was her father. Lora Thorne was her mom , as well as a Therapist. Courtney at seven years old, divorced her father Walter Smith. She lived with both parents in different periods of time. She has a younger sister named Jennifer, who is an executive in the field of advertising. She attended the Menlo-Atherton high school located in Atherton, California and graduated Tamalpais High School in Mill Valley in 1985. He was her screen mate from Melrose Place. In June 2000, she married Andrew Conrad, a geneticist. The couple broke up in January 2001.
